Day 24: Something you've Learned

Day 24: Something You Have Learned....First of all, I could ramble and ramble all day about the things I have learned in the past, but I will NOT bore you with the dramatic details, so I'll give you a SHORT list and maybe you'll take it and learn a little something by it, too! :) I love to give advice and help out in anyway I can, so here we go...:)

1. Sometimes it is better to not say anything, than open your "big" mouth and say everything...I know that quote is cheesy as hell, but I have learned many valuable lessons from this. I have hurt a few people's feelings in the past and it broke my heart....Boy, have I learned.

2. Always say, "I love you," because you never know when you will see that person again.

3. Jealousy will kill relationships...Been there,done that.

4. Be HAPPY! Life is too short to bitch, complain, and mope about everything that is wrong in your life. Whenever I am having a bad day, I stop and say to myself, "There is someone out there that has it ten times worse than you do, so suck it up." :)

5. Friends will come and go...The older you get, the smaller your group will get, but who cares. The ones left standing will fight for you till the bitter end and honestly....what more could you ask for???

I hope you all have had a wonderful day! Snow here in Memphis, Tenn!!!!

Jessica Alba's Style

Have you ever copied outfits from your favorite actress, singer, etc?? I have, and I'm here to tell you, Jessica Alba is by FAR my all-time favorite dresser. I love that she is casual and vintage, but also girly all at once. She wears a lot of scarves, sweater dresses, skinny jeans, and always carries big bags. I use Celebrity Style Guide to look at the recent pictures of Jessica, so I can see what she has been pairing together. Call me weird, but I love her taste. I highly suggest for you to use the website to get ideas on different outfits, follow your favorite actress, etc. Who are you favorites?? Do you like Alba and her style??? Here are a few pictures that I plan on copying, hehe...;)

Day 23: Favorite Vacation

I have been on several trips to many places around the world, but I think my all-time favorite was West Palm Beach, Florida. I had never been that far into Florida, so it was a big excitement  for me! It was a wonderful city with SOOOOOOO much to do! We stayed at the The Breakers and enjoyed every second of it. If we ever go back, I plan to do more shopping, more laying out, because the weather wasn't that great when we went, and see more of the culture! I took many, many pictures while we were there, but I will not bore you with my "untalented" photo skills, so I'll just provide a few ;) Hope you all are having a FABBBY day!

Day 22: Favorite City

I am from a small town in Arkansas, but have been near Memphis my entire life. I love Memphis, period. I love the atmosphere, food, environment, people, weather, etc. I can honestly say that I am Memphis' biggest fan. I plan to stay here the rest of my life, raise my family, and make it an even greater place to live! If you have never been to Memphis, I HIGHLY suggest everyone to make a long weekend trip to see what it is all about :) Here are a few pictures of what Memphis is ALL about:

Day 21: Picture of Yourself

So, Day 21: Picture of Yourself...I could not provide a picture without a little biography behind it.

This is, me...I am from a small town in Arkansas, but my passion is for the city. Memphis has my heart. I am 5'10, came out of the womb with a head full of red hair, and will break your knees if you hurt my twin brother's feelings. I am beyond blessed. I have an amazing family, great group of friends, and the best boyfriend on the face of the planet. I enjoy traveling, cooking, decorating, shopping, going to the lake in the summer with my family, and a good game of Scrabble. James Taylor and Michael Buble is what is usually playing in my car, I never leave home without my watch on, and I could eat Red Velvet cake to the point of making myself sick. My passion is working with children and cannot wait to have little ones of my own someday. My future children's names will be (if/how it turns out this way): Samuel Jay Haynie II, Josephine Iris Haynie, and if I decide to put myself through another pregnancy, Julia Elaine Haynie. I appreciate the simple things in life: laughing till my stomach hurts, an unexpected phone call from S or a close friend/family member, an "I love you," and take out food nights. These are just a "few" things that sum me up, but I would NOT be the person I am today without the wonderful people I surround myself with. My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has blessed me far more than I have ever desereved! I am beyond estatic to see all the amazing possibilities and obstacles that I will face throughout my future and life here on Earth! :)

Day 20: Nicknames

NICKNAMES! I love them! Anyone who knows me knows that they will have a nickname before long :) I have always grown up with a family who gives nicknames, so I guess it is in my blood! :) I feel like it is friendly, gives you a sort of connection to that person, and can often times be a memorable nickname or "inside joke." Having a name that is verrrrrrryyyyyyyyy common, like Brittney, often ends up with lots and lots of nicknames. When I was little, my family called me Britt Britt. I have also heard through the years: Britt, Bitt Bitt, B, RedHot ( for having red hair) , Sister Bell, and my NEW nickname, Pebbles! S has started calling me that and I love it :) Just so sweet! Hope you enjoyed reading about my nicknames over the years! Did you have nicknames?? Do you like them?? :)

Day 19: Something You Miss

Day 19: Something you Miss....

There are many things that I could write about, but the one that's dearest to my heart is my grandfather. I miss him so much. He passed away more than ten years ago, but there's not a day that goes by that he doesn't cross my mind. He was such an inspiration to me and my brother. He taught me how to play basketball, and got me into playing sports and loving them! He was diagnosed with a brain tumor that later turned into brain cancer. He fought and fought until he couldn't go anymore...He has been a wonderful blessing in my life and I will continue to keep him as my guardian angel as I journey through this angry place we call our "home." R.I.P. Grandpa 02-18-98

Weekend Getaway!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far! :) S and I spent our weekend in Pigeon Forge and enjoyed every second of it! It was breathtaking! We got tons and tons of snow while we were there, and being from Memphis, we don't get a lot, so we thoroughly enjoyed it! On the drive home from Pigeon Forge we get word that our hometown is supposed to get snow! Sure enough, we are driving through Jackson and the snow begins to fall! It was beauuuuuutiful! It really is feeling like a Winter Wonderland outside with all these drastic temps.! I took lots and lots of pictures while we were in Pigeon Forge! Here are the ones I wanted to share with you! :) Enjoy!!

New Years Eve!

S and I had no intentions of doing the whole "partying" thing on New Years Eve this year. We wanted a very quiet dinner and an evening at home. Although we did not spend the evening at home, we had a wonderful dinner at Cafe 1912 in Midtown with some friends of ours and went to a local bar and had a few cocktails. Nothing major. Nothing glamorous. Nothing too expensive. I have actually done the whole dress up, go downtown, spend 300 dollars, evening and I had no interest in doing that this year. I'm totally over it. We had a wonderful eveing with several of our close friends! I took lots of pictures on my phone :) What all did you do for NYE??

Happy Couple!

What did you do for NYE?

A New Year and a New Beginning :)

I'm sure you ALL have come up with many things to change this year, but it's okay if you haven't! I have not yet ;) I'm waiting till school starts back to get back into a routine of things. I'm horrible at trying to start something when I'm out on break. I sleep too late, eat junk, and do NOTHING. Completely useless ;)

I'm sure a lot of you have the same goal to achieve this year as me...LOSE WEIGHT! When I started dating Sam, I was at my ideal weight...Now, not so much....:( I plan on starting Weight Watchers on the 10th. I'm actually really looking forward to it! I think I will start feeling better about myself and boost my confidence a bit! Remember: Take small steps. Don't push yourself to the extreme. Take one day at a time and reward yourself for goals you have met! You can do it! : ) Here is a small list at what I want to achieve this year:

1. Successfully do Weight Watchers.

2. Get back into the routine of attending a gym and my aerobics classes.

3. Study more and quit procrastinating.

4. Learn to let some things go. Not everything has to be so diffcult.

5. Spend LESS money :)

Good Luck with all of your goals for 2011! I think this is going to be a great year for each and everyone of us! :) God Bless!

Day 18: Something You Regret

Hey, friends! I have definitely not been in the blogging mood lately, because I have been off from school and have been so lazy! I'm sure when I'm back into a regular routine, I will be more in the mood to write :) I do have sooo much to write about, too! I have been slacking on my "Days," so I think it is time for a new one. Day 18 is Something You Regret....Although I'm a huge believer in "Everything Happens for a Reason," I have done many things in my life that I'm not all that proud of. I will NOT sit here and bore you, but I will say...I'm so thankful for the obstacles and "bumpy rides" I have been through over the past several years. They have ALL made me who I am today :) Hope you all are having a great Monday!
