Halloween & Caffeine....

Hope you all have a very Happy Halloween!! We are going to my parents' house tonight for veggie soup, scary movies, and to pass out candy. I live in a high rise condo, so we don't usually have a lot of "tricker treaters" at my place. :(

Last night, S and I went to Target to pick up a few things. I have been wanting a new coffee maker, but was not sure what I wanted. I am a big coffee drinker, latte drinker, espresso drinker, etc. I think you get the picture that I like my caffeine in the morning...;) Anyway, I have been wanting to get something that would make all of the above, but had not heard of one...We checked out the "poison makers" last night, and to my astonishment, we found this.....

It immediately caught my eye..It looked simple enough, too.
A lot of coffee makers out there are extremelllllly hard to use.
Or maybe it's just me...Could that be it? ;)  So we bought the thing,
took it home, and set it up...I also bought some pumpkin spice
cream to go with it...Yummmmmm... Guys, I am telling you...
It is SO good! It is also really, really easy to clean.
A lot of latte makers are complicated and take time to clean,
but not this one. It is all one part. I added some milk and cream
to the pot, added coffee  and water in the filter, and two minutes
later, I had a delicious latte. I have a feeling that I am going to be
saving a lot of money! It will make coffee, espresso, tea,
and hot chocolate...What more could you need? The great part
is that they include recipes in the box for you to try...SOLD....

Add it to your Christmas list, friends...
You can thank me later... ;)

Zuppa Toscana Recipe..

Sunday afternoon, we celebrated my Dad's birthday at my parent's house. I have been in the mood for soups, so I decided to try this Zuppa Toscana recipe. A friend of mine had posted an instagram photo last week of this soup, so I was dying to know which recipe she used. I have made this soup before, but it was not this recipe. The recipe I used last winter seemed off. There was something missing and it just did not taste like Olive Garden's wonderful soup. The recipe calls for you to cook it in a slow cooker, but I did not have enough time for that, so I just made it in a big pot. I was cooking for eight people, so I doubled the recipe and it seemed to be enough. I also added some different seasonings, but pretty much stayed within the recipe. It was to die for. It was really, really good. If you like kale, you will love this soup. Sam is not a kale fan, so we fixed him something else, but everyone else seemed to really, really enjoy it! Hope you guys enjoy!! :) Tis the season for yummy soups! ;)

The blogger's photo. She cooked it in a slow cooker.

I cooked it in a big pot..Yummm

Enjoy!

Stopping In..

I hope you all have had a wonderful week so far. We are gearing up for the weekend around here. I am looking forward to the cooler temps this weekend! I believe a cold front is supposed to come through during the night, so by the time I wake up in the morning, I will be able to go to work in a nice, chunky sweater and boots. We have had Red Ribbon week at school, so I have not gotten any cute outfit pictures, but I definitely plan to tomorrow.

Friday night, S and I are going to a haunted  house. I have not been to one in YEARS, but our bff's asked us to go, so why not?? Right?? After the "exciting" house, we plan to go back to their house to hang out, carve pumpkins, enjoy some vino, and watch Halloween movies. Sounds lame, huh?? Well, it's how the old people throw down on a Friday night after a long week of w-o-r-k...*sarcastic laugh..*

Saturday night, we are going to dinner for my Dad's birthday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and stay safe! There will be lots of people out for Halloween parties!!

Skyros Designs..

I recently was looking at a friend's Instagram page. She had posted a picture of their dinner, but I noticed her plates! They were GORGEOUS!!! I had to know where she got them! She messaged me back and said she purchased them from a place in Germantown, but they were Skyros Designs..I immediately got online and started searching.. After I found them, she sent me ANOTHER picture of the entire set....DROOL..... I will just let the pictures do the talking...Check it out...

This is my favorite style of the Skyros Designs..
I like the Isabella. I'm sure the other styles are great, but

J.Crew Factory

They now have their own website! I love it. Their clothes are just as cute as the original J.Crew, but they're a little cheaper. What more could you ask for? ;) I have been on a oxford shirt kick lately. I have bought a bunch to wear under sweaters, etc. Here are a few that J.Crew Factory has right now...

I would love to pair this with some red jeans.
Polka dots are big right now...Get you some
dots, my friend. ;)

I love this pattern. I am on a navy kick
right now. I would love to pair this with
a kelly green sweater..Such fun fall colors!

I am not sure why I like this, but I do..
I would love to pair this with some skinny jeans,
brown boots, and red or navy blue sweater..

I love this dress. There are an unlimited
amount of ways to wear this!! :)

Fall Favorites..

I saw a blogger do a post about all of her favorite Fall items last week. I loved it! I decided I would do the same. Here are a few things that I adore...

I love pumpkins! I love to carve them, bake with them,
light pumpkin candles, etc. Pumpkin is probably my
all time favorite thing about the fall time!

I just recently found my love for butternut squash
last year, but this was one thing I was really looking
forward to this fall! I have some butternut squash in the fridge
and plan to cook a bisque this week. There is NOTHING better!

I just recently discovered this beer, but oh my goodness...It is
SO GOOD..I love it! It is the PERFECT fall beer.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is happy to see these
back on the menu..LOVE!

Dark nail polish is my all time favorite. If I could wear it
all year round, I would. :)

We love football! We love our Denver Broncos & Ole Miss Rebels!!!

Outfits..

I have worn a few new items this week. I have ordered some things from Gap, J.Crew, etc. I am loving this weather and have a problem with buying too many Fall/Winter clothes. ha! Here are some of the fun new items I have purchased....

I ordered this J.Crew color block top.
It came in the mail last week. I paired it
with some green jeans! I was kind of worried
about the orange being on the top because my
hair is red and I do not usually wear orange well.
ha!

I have a friend going to Kenya on a mission trip.
I supported her and ordered this adorable Be
Free Revolution t-shirt! You should check
out their stuff. They have adorable jewelry!

I FINALLY found these Steve Madden leopard loafers
in my size. I have looked EVERYWHERE! I ordered
them off shoes.com, so I hope they are here soon!
I cannot wait to pair them with some color jeans.

Saturday, I wore my new Gap blue khakis, so
I paired them with my Tory Burch leopard flats.
I love blue and leopard together.

Friday, I wore my new J.Crew purple
sweater dress. I LOVE it. It is SO
comfortable. I went back online to order it
in a different color, and they did not have my size.
Bummer :(

Saturday for the shower, I wore
a J.Crew black vneck cashmere sweater,
my new Gap broken in khakis in blue,
and my Tory Burch leopard flats.

Weekend Recap..

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours was pretty uneventful again..which I loved...Friday night, Sam and I went to dinner and then to hang out with my parents for a little while. We were home pretty early. I woke up Saturday morning, but was exhausted!!! I slept till almost 10!! I NEVER do that anymore. We had a wedding shower Saturday night, so Sam and I had lunch out, ran a few errands, and then headed to Collierville for the shower. It was so much fun!! Our friends are getting married in November at the beach. We could not be more excited for them! Here are a few pictures from the weekend:
