Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was fantastic with lots of work outs, good weather, and spending time with friends! :) Friday night, Sam and I hit the Greenline trail and rode for about 15 miles. It was an easy ride... We started late, so by the time we made it back to the truck, the last two miles of our ride was PITCH BLACK DARK. We came across a possum, and I thought I was going to freak! Luckily, it scooted on past us.. ;) After our ride, we stopped in at Cheffie's for dinner. If you have never eaten here, I suggest it! It's delicious and super healthy! It's in the heart of High Point neighborhood, so there's lots of people riding bikes, walking, running, etc. After dinner, we headed on home to get some rest. I had a 5k Saturday morning with my fellow teacher friends. Our team name was called, "Tracy's Teachers," so we had shirts made. It was a hilly race, but lots of fun! After the race was over, I headed over to Fresh Market to get some groceries and run errands with Emily. The bottom decided to fall out of the sky, so the weather quickly cooled down! I headed home to do some things around the house before we headed over to Emily's and Ben's for a cookout. It was too much fun! We enjoyed visiting with them Saturday afternoon/evening. Sunday morning, I woke up and Sam and I headed out for our LONG bike ride. We rode a total of 31 miles! My legs are a little achy today, but I'm pleased with my time. This triathlon training is going very well and I'm PUMPED about it. After our ride, we ran some more errands before heading home... It was a wonderful weekend! I'm now gearing up for the EAGLES concert tonight!!! ;)

Why is it that I look like a giant next to my friends?
SO NOT FAIR..

I saw this dog on our run Saturday morning.
I have been obsessed with it since.
It's a bijou standard poodle with red hair...
You can bet that I'm trying to talk Sam into this dog...

Girl - if I could be that tall, I'd totally would! Embrace it! Nice work on that ride!
