Snowy Getaway..
I am so excited about our upcoming trip in January to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. We are planning to go with friends for a long weekend and snow ski, drink some red wine, sit by the fire, read, etc. I am SO looking forward to it! S and I went several years ago, but we did not take anyone. I am hoping it will be even more fun with friends! I hope it snows like it did, too. It snowed the ENTIRE time we were there in 2011. Here is the cabin we are staying in....

I have had my eye on this bag for MONTHS. I am really hoping to see it under the tree this year. I THINK I have been a good girl! ;) This is the Louis Vuitton Delightful GM. It's sold out online, so I'm hoping Santa Claus gets it from a LV store... ;) We shall see...

Outfits, shoes, galore...
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend so far. I know it's been awhile since I have blogged. I have had SO much going on the past couple of weeks. We have had Christmas parties galore! I just wanted to update you on a few things... ;)
I finally ordered these adorable leopard booties
from Free People. I waited on them to go on
sale, so when I checked the website a week later,
all they had was one size left and I knew I had to grab
them up! Thank goodness it was my size! :)
I love these, too! I am thinking I need these.
They are also from Free People. How adorable
would they be with jeans and a sweater??

Three Years....
Sam and I have been together for three years today. I am so thankful for having such a wonderful person in my life. We had a wonderful day. We went to my grandmother's house for an amazing breakfast, then to an afternoon showing of Jersey Boys! Innnnncredible! We loved it! Last but not least, we had an amazing dinner at Folk's Folly. It was a WONDERFUL anniversary! :) I love you, S!

Chicken Tortilla soup.
Last night, I was craving soup. It had been cold ALL day, so I wanted to make something warm and yummy. I usually make the same soups over and over again, but I wanted to make something new. I have always loved chicken tortilla soup! I don't care for the chicken tortilla soups from mexican restaurants, so i didn't really want anything with avocado, etc. I wanted a rich and hearty soup, but nothing with too many calories. Here is what I found: Chicken Tortilla Recipe. It's a great website and super simple! She actually used a slow cooker, but I decided last minute that I wanted to make it, so I just threw everything in a pot and let it cook! First, I boiled my chicken. I added different seasonings and let it boil until it was done. After I shredded the chicken, I threw the corn, chicken, chick stock, onion, and tomatoes in the pot. It calls for green pepper, but S does not like bell peppers, so I adjusted the recipe a little. I know it does not call for adobe peppers and green chilies, but we like spicy around here, so instead of using a green bell pepper, I used the chipotle peppers in adobe sauce and a 4oz can of green chilies. It was perfect! It also does not call for whipping cream, but I went ahead and added a small pinch of it. It was just the right amount! Last, I poured the soup into the bowls, topped with tortilla strips, and threw some monterey jack cheese on top! It was delicious! I totally suggest this soup recipe! If you want, you can totally prepare it in the slow cooker, but if you are like me and always wait till the last minute to prepare something, just throw it all in a pot and you're done! :) Enjoy!!

Christmas parties galore...
Christmas parties are always so fun, but I get tired of spending so much money on dresses. It's not the type of parties where you can wear the same dress over and over, because the same people go to the same parties, ha! Anywho, I have been spending quite a bit of money lately on party dresses. I REALLY should start looking on Rent the Runway, but I range in sizes so much! I hate to order something and then it not fit! Until then, I will leave you with a Christmas party we went to last night. It was SO much fun. We have another one on Thursday night, but I plan to borrow a dress from a friend. ;) I'm sure I have a dress in my closet I can wear, but what's the fun in that?? ;)
This is the dress I wore
last night. It was a lace over lay
with a taupe color underneath.
I paired it with Vince Camuto
black suede booties. I am in desperate
need of new black booties. I am
loving the DVF Camilla booties.
I am thinking I will need to ask
for those on the Christmas list.. ;)
S and I at the Christmas party.
Kind of bright, but Morgan, Trent, and me.
I wonder whose eye ball is in the background? :)
I'm so sad this is blurry. My brother and I and
the loves of our lives.. ;)
My very best guy friend!! love him!
I recently ordered this J. Crew coat last week.
It was on sale, but I had a 30% off code, so I
snatched this up for a whopping hundred dollars!
I was quite excited about this. Can't wait for it to
get here on Tuesday!
I found this adorable green dress
online this morning. I had to order it!
I plan to pair it with some brown boots.
I think it's a great dress to wear all through
the year. :)
