Running...


I have said before, and I'll say it again, I hate to excercise...I honestly don't like it. I never really have been into yoga, aerobics, body pump, etc. Although I hate to go to classes, I really enjoy walking. I can think and have "Brittney time." I recently decided I needed to "up" my excercise routine, because walking several miles every other day is just not doing anything for me orrrr my body. I used to run long distance in high school and I loved it. Might I add, I was a toothpick and very athletic during that time of my life. ha! Setting Personal goals for myself have always been a "thing" of mine, so I decided I would give running another chance. I have been running a little here and there, and just trying to get my momemtum, etc. back up to par. Today, I was BEYOND proud of myself! Yes, I'm going to brag on myself for a second. I ran a mile and a half today WITHOUT walking. I repeat, WITHOUT WALKING! I know this is probably NOTHING for most of you, but it is a huge mile stone for me, considering I have not been a runner in almost 5 years. I plan to keep up the pace and eventuuuuallllly run a 5k. I have several friends who run long distance, so maybe they will be able to give me some feedback, etc. I'll keep you posted on how the journey goes! Hope you all have had a great day!

I love my nike+ chip for my shoes! I can set my goal and it will talk to me from my iPhone and tell me how I am doing.
