Weekend Recap

We had a wonderful weekend full of good company and good weather. Friday night, my friend had the evening free because her parents offered to watch her daughter, so we hit up South of Beale for dinner. Meredith's plans ended up falling through, so she joined us, too! There is nothing better than an evening out with my main man and my two favorite girls. Sam and I love South of Beale. It's a local spot here in Memphis with OUTSTANDING food and service. We eat here quite often. We started with the fried avocados, a cup of soup, and several entrees were ordered after. If you love bloody Mary's, I highly suggest this place! They are to die for! They put cumin in them...Who would have thought?

Afterwards, we hit up our two favorite spots for
after dinner drinks.. Local Gastropub and Bardog.

We had the best weather on Saturday. We grabbed Central BBQ to go and headed to my parents house for the evening. It was nice to relax and enjoy quality time with the family. After dinner, we all watched Frozen! Everyone loved it! We also watch Beauty and the Beast. It turned in to a Disney movie night, ha! Sam had never seen The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast, so it was a must. Sam and I were home and in bed before midnight.

Yummy bbq nachos from Central

The best movies ever.

Sunday morning, we were up and out the door by eleven. We hit up brunch and then thought we wanted to run some errands, but I knew I had a lot of laundry to do, so we headed home and just enjoyed our afternoon/evening at home. We watched several movies and made homemade pizzas! It was a fun evening with my boy. If you have not watched Prisoners or Captain Phillips, I highly suggest both! :)

Yes, we hit up South of Beale again...Here is the
famous Bloody Mary.

Their shrimp and grits are TO DIE FOR...They are made with
pimento cheese... oh my word

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend with friends and family. After all the eating I did, you can imagine it will be salads and lots of detoxing this week! Have a great one, friends!

Sounds like a fun weekend! I do the same thing - drink and eat way too much over the weekend and then detox all week. :-)

Totally with you on the indulgent weekend. I had a hot dog and a burger at the baseball game on Saturday. I was so disgusted with myself!! Back to salads FOR SURE.

Fried avocados sound like the most amazing thing ever!! I can't believe I've never heard of that before!
