Should we build an Ark??

I'm sure most of you have been dealing with tons and tons of weather across the country, but the Mid-South area has been getting slammed the past couple of days with: thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, etc. I am so ready for a day full of sun shine! I can't wait! My hometown was hit pretty hard on Tuesday night. The entire city was without power all evening. Trees were up rooted, roofs blown off, etc. I had a really bad scare last night when my Mother called me. I thought, " Oh, I'm not worried about this storm. Everyone in my family is safe and sound and home, so I'm not concerned." Little did I know, my brother was driving in it. To make a long story short, he had to pull over in a bad part of town and sit under an overpass. I was scared to death! If any of you know me, I do NOT handle situations like this very well. I definitely had to bust out the wine and take a chill pill, because anything that goes on with my brother, I'm OVERLY protective!  God is SO good, because he made it safe and sound to Mr. S's condo in Downtown Memphis. We have continued to have bad weather today, so saying a prayer for each and everyone of you! Stay safe and don't drive unless you HAVE to!

Running...

I have said before, and I'll say it again, I hate to excercise...I honestly don't like it. I never really have been into yoga, aerobics, body pump, etc. Although I hate to go to classes, I really enjoy walking. I can think and have "Brittney time." I recently decided I needed to "up" my excercise routine, because walking several miles every other day is just not doing anything for me orrrr my body. I used to run long distance in high school and I loved it. Might I add, I was a toothpick and very athletic during that time of my life. ha! Setting Personal goals for myself have always been a "thing" of mine, so I decided I would give running another chance. I have been running a little here and there, and just trying to get my momemtum, etc. back up to par. Today, I was BEYOND proud of myself! Yes, I'm going to brag on myself for a second. I ran a mile and a half today WITHOUT walking. I repeat, WITHOUT WALKING! I know this is probably NOTHING for most of you, but it is a huge mile stone for me, considering I have not been a runner in almost 5 years. I plan to keep up the pace and eventuuuuallllly run a 5k. I have several friends who run long distance, so maybe they will be able to give me some feedback, etc. I'll keep you posted on how the journey goes! Hope you all have had a great day!

Weekend Recap...

I had a wonderful weekend and was sad to see it end. All of my bff's were home for Easter, so of course, we made it a point to go out and spend time together. I love when they come home, because it is always TOO much fun! Most of them are at school in Fayetteville, so they don't come as much as I would like...Friday, my bff and I went to get pedicures and catch up. I spent the evening with S Friday night and relaxed and enjoyed a nice dinner! ha! :) Saturday, I had a successful day! I spent my morning at the office with S and helping him with work. After, I gave my bathroom and bedroom a deep cleaning. That afternoon, my bff and I went shopping and I bought lots and lots of cute things! Can't wait to blog about them. Saturday night, we all went out and when we go out, it is usually an allllll night thing. We had loads of fun. It was very hard for us all to make it to church the next morning, but we trampled through it and went! I was glad I did! Wonderful service! Sunday afternoon and evening were very nice. I spent them hanging out with family and just enjoying being at home. I ended my weekend, by watching The Tourist. It was veryyyyy good! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Smoky Eyes...

Last night, my family and I watched The Tourist with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. I was amazed at Angelina's makeup throughout the movie. She had the best Smoky eyes I have ever seen! I definitely plan on copying her look when I go out to dinner, drinks with friends, etc. Here are a few pictures from the movie:

LuLu Lemon..

First of all, I want to apologize for lacking and not writing a post in almost a week. School has taken over my life this week and some of next, so bare with me until the summer gets here. Random Monday...

I wasssss going to do the Forever 21 Haul Vlog today, but it is rainy, I have a million things to do, and I'm covered in homework, SOOOO that will have to wait until tomorrow! I do have some pretty,pretty pictures for you to enjoy on this awful,rainy Monday though!

A friend of mine from Memphis went to an Entreprenur

Saturday night and she came home with several of

these beautiful arrangements!  Of course she knew I

would want one. I came home, put it in a vase, and put

it in the best place I knew possible! I looooooove white

hydrangeas, white roses, etc. They are great for Spring!

I purchased a new bag! My bestfriend was selling

a few items since she has NO room in New York

for all of her "stuff," so I relieved her of her Kate Spade

Crossbody bag ;) I adore it. It's a great silver color and

will be perfect for this Spring and Summer.

Clutch Help!

Spring has arrived and Summer is around the corner! I don't know about you, but I tend to go out a lot more when the weather is warmer. I love to sit on a patio, have cookouts, go to the lake, listen to a band, etc. I hate to carry around a big,heavy purse, so I have been looking around for something that is light,fresh,and new! Keeneland Weekend!

I'm so excited about Keeneland being this weekend. I love everything about horse races. If you've ever been to the Horse races in Hot Springs, then you would LOVE Keeneland. It is so much better! I have been many, many years ago, but I was SUPPOSED to go this year, and well, I'm not now...:( sniff snifff...I will live through my friends being there and all the lovely hats, bow ties, and pretty dresses! Wisteria Love...

Some of you might have heard of Wisteria's line of furniture, but I was blown away when I saw the catalog in a friend of mines kitchen. She and her husband have a beauuuuutiful home and she told me she had ordered several pieces from there. I can't help, but keep looking at their website because Mr. S is wanting to buy a house very soon! :) I have picked out so many pieces to use in the sitting room, master bedroom, den, and dining room...ha! If you are a fan of Vintage and Antique pieces, you'll live Wisteria. They run lots of sales, so it is great to check out something then , but I'll give you a glimpse of what I'm swooning over right now:

This is the European couch in natural linen.

This is a bit too dressy for the den, but would love

this in the sitting room.

This is the Natural Cabirole Leg Chair.

I love how simple and classy it is! It would

also look great somewhere in a sitting room.

This is the lounging French chaise and I am obsessed with it!

I love the look of these in a home. They are so classy and

look great in a more formal living room as well.

I don't know about you, but I'm a fan of checkered anything.

somewhere or in the entryway.

I would use the white vases that on are the book shelf.

I've seen them in homes and they look great! That is also

the chair and couch that I have listed above.

Don't laugh, but I seriously would steal this look for the

Master bedroom. I loveeeee a White bedroom! Who am I

kidding? I love white anything. I know I won't be able to

have an entire house in white, so I'll have to pick and choose. ;)

I love double twin beds in a room. It is so classy!

Skin Routine

Soooo...Lately I have been looking for a new face wash and moisturizer to use on my face. I had been using Cetaphil, but I felt like it was just a very generic,simple cleaner. I used it for a good three years, but have decided my skin is used to it and I need to move on to something else. I just felt like it was doing nothing for my skin tone and breakouts. I am not a hugeeeee skincare person, but I want something good with a SPF in it. My skin is overly dry, so I need something with a lot of moisture in it as well. I have always loved the Aveeno products, so I thought I'd give the cleanser and moisturizer a try because I love their regular lotion. WOW is all I can say! I have been using both for only a few days and I already see a dramatic difference! My skin tone and texture is amazing, my skin is sooo full of moisture, and I don't have any breakouts! I highly suggest these two products. Here is what they look like:

1. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads.

I have never used a cleansing pad to wash my

 face, but I'm hooked. There is a saclyic acid in the

 pad, and there is an exfoliating side and a smooth side to

wash away the makeup, etc. I just rub it all over my

face and then wash away with warm water.

I repeat the step twice. You can get these at

Target, Walgreens, etc. $7.00!!!!

2. I did not talk much about this one, simply because this is

not a new product for me. I apply Bobbi Brown's Face

Tonic after I wash my face. It tightens the skin and makes

 it feel so refreshing. It will also dry up any blemishes you

might have on your face. You can  purchase this

3. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30

 is my second new product that I purchased and I love it!

I apply it after I cleanse my face and use the toner. It is the

only moisturizer that I have found to leave my skin feeling

hydrated throughout the day. I highly suggest this product

if your skin is somewhat dry or overly dry like mine!

It is not expensive, but it is around 17.99. You can

purchase this at your local stores.
