Marcia Cross' locks...

this is my FAVORITTTTTE...

I have alwayyyyyys loved Marcia Cross. I especially love her hair, because it is the EXACT same color as mine.  My hair has finally grown out to the length I want, so I'm ready to start styling it and doing different things with it. I need to go see my stylist, because when it comes to hair, "BRITTNEY CAN'T DO IT!" I suuuuuuck at doing hair. Give me a pony tail holder and I'll just pull it back. I want Marcia's locks, because they are beautiful! She has a head full of hair! She's beautiful to me anyway, but this is my goal over the next few months..I need to start training my hair to do these things...Any suggestions?? I probably need to buy a good curling iron, too....

Thankful Wednesday...

I was definitely a "Debbi Downer" yesterday, so I promised myself that I would write something HAPPY today! :) I decided to do a "Thankful Wednesday," because I really have so much to be thankful for. The Lord has truley blessed me far more than I deserve :) Here ya' go!

1. My girlfriends...The older I get, the more I realize how WONDERFUL my girlfriends are. They are ALWAYS there and I love that about them. ( They are also really, really pretty! )

2. The sweet, little notes that Mr. S puts in my car in the mornings. It might be a simple: I love you, You're pretty, or Thanks for being you, etc. It doesn't matter what it says, I always look forward to getting them!

3. My James Taylor album on my Ipod. I swear it stays on repeat, and I am sure everyone gets sick of listening to him in my car, but I LOVE HIM! I honestly can't help it...It's an obsession.

4. My comfy clothes...After a long day at school, I look forward to coming home and putting on my sweatpants, sweatshirt, and slippers. I don't know who created "slouch" clothes, but I owe them a big,fat kiss.

5. Cheeba....I am not sure if many of you know who Cheeba is, but my Twitter girls do. He is Mr. S's BIG,FAT cat. ( Yes, my boyfriend has a cat....) I love that kitty more than anything in this world. He's an asshole, but I love him. He's over weight, gets on the bed when he's not supposed to, and eats entirely more than he can stand, but gah...I could just squeeze that little face of his.

6. Date nights....Mr. S and I have been together for quite awhile now, but I still get SO excited when we have a date night planned. I love getting dressed up, going to dinner, and enjoying a wonderful dinner and conversation with him. ( Can you tell I kinda' like him?? )

7. My parents and twin brother...They are always there, period. I love them unconditionally.

8. My Melrose Place DVD Collections....Mr. S and I have recently bought the DVD Collections of Melrose Place and we love them. Yes, it is a corny story, but I can't help it. Heather Locklear??? I mean come on...Who wouldn't want to watch something with her in it?? :)

9. Blackberry Messenger....To all my BBM frans, I love you...

10. Weight Watchers...Because of this wonderful Diet plan, I have learned to get my eating habits, excercising, etc. under control. I have already lost so much, and I am excited about getting back into shape and looking like my "old self." It has given me the confidence I need as well :)

What are you thankful for???

"..Rainy days and Mondays Always Get Me Down..."

I'm currently having "writer's block." Does this ever happen to you?? It is quite frustrating! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It seems like it came and went with the blink of an eye! Mondays are never fun to me, I hate them. They are long, I'm still tired from the weekend, and I always realize how much I have put off...grrr...I'm a huge believer in that, " We must have bad days, so we learn to appreciate the good ones.." Today is definitely a BAD one...I'm very strong in my faith, so I learn to let a lot of things go, and be thankful for what I DO have...I keep my Bible verses close to heart...Seems crazy, but it's about the only thing that makes sense to a gal on a gloomy Monday....Here are a few that get me through the day....

1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." Psalm 23

2. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

3. "Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD." Psalm 25:4-7

4. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever." Psalm 28:7-9

5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

6. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears."  Psalm 18:2-6

How I long for Sandals...

I probably have been driving you all CRAZY with the Summer clothes posts, but I can not help it! For some ODD reason this year, I am so ready for warm weather. I am usually a Winter girl who could wear sweaters, leggings, boots, scarves, etc. alllllll year, but not this year. And having so many Snow days off from school has not helped me, because I am constantly browsing online at all the new pretty Spring clothes! I am a big sandal person, but they MUST be comfortable. I dress casual in the summer, so I want something that I can throw on with a summer dress, shorts, wear to the pool, wear to class, etc. I wear wedges sometimes, but usually only for a wedding or something. I DEFINITELY think every girl should have a summer wedge or pump in their closet! I am sure if you have been keeping up with my blog, I.adore.Tory.Burch....obsession...I love all of her sandals for this Spring/Summer! They pretty much ALL are on my list :) I have also found a few more cuties to add to the collection :) Check them out!

Weddings, Weddings, and Weddings...OH, my!

I went to a Wedding shower the other day and got a glimpse of a few things that I might want someday! :) It is hard to imagine what all you would ask for, because there is really SO much to think about. I think the most important thing to me and Mr. S is appliances! They can get quite expensive, but with the help of friends and family and saving, you can get some pretty nice things. Honestly, I am very, very picky about my bedding, towels, linens, etc., so I don't think that will be on my list, but who knows?? I was browsing the other day and got an idea about what a lot of brides and grooms are asking for these days, what is a "must" item, and some of the NECESSARY items you need to function a household, ha! I agreed with a lot, found some of them kinda' strange, and thought some of the items were just plain stupid..I mean, would you really use that??? I'm practical when it comes to this kinda' stuff...Anywho, I will share with you some of my favorites, some other top choices from brides and grooms, and what is in..Enjoy!! :)

8 Bottle Private Reserve Wine Cellar

Food Processor

Breville Electric Wok

Breville Juicer

Keurig Coffee Maker

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer

Dyson Vacuum Cleaner

Do you agree with me? Did any of you recieve some of these gifts?? What do you think is  "must" item??

Snow Day in Memphis!

Memphis has been hit HARD this year so far with tons and tons of snow. We don't usually get that much, so when we do it is usually a disaster. We have had many Snow days! I have missed quite a bit of school, but I'm not worried, because I don't have to make any of those days up ;) Quite nice huh? My cousin and I braved the weather yesterday and headed out to play in the snow! Yes, I said it....This was the FIRST time I have played in the snow all year. We took quite a bit of pictures, so I could share with you all! Note: Please excuse my outfit...I tend to look like a hobo when I'm stuck in the house ALLLLL DAYYYY...;)

I love Mr. S :)

Mal and I braving the snow :)

Look how much snow we got?!!?!

The HUNTER's survived the snow!

Have you gotten a lot of  snow?? Have you played in it?? :)

The Most Inspiring Women in History...

Inspirational Women...What are they? What do they mean to you? Do you have any inspiring women in your life?? Many of us do as a matter of fact, I do...:) I have always wanted to be just like my MOTHER, ahhh! Many of you might disagree with me COMPLETELY, but my Mom is a good person who has shown me the RIGHT way to raise children, how to keep a successful, healthy marriage going, and to treasure friendships more than you can imagine. She's awesome :) Although I have always looked up to my mother, there are many others in the world that I have always loved and looked up to. They are famous people, and although I do not know them personally, I think they have inspired many, many women in America. Here are a few women who have touched my life over time:

Audrey Hepburn was a true, classy woman. I fell in love with
her in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I loved her style, grace, and
true charm! She was a one of kind!

Coco Chanel...what can I say?? She was and
STILL is a TRUE style icon for many of us today.
She is known for her glamourous Chanel bags
and many more.

Jacqueline Kennedy...Bless her stinkin' heart!
"She dressed to a tee." I adored her husband and
she always seemed to remember her class
wherever she might be! She was quite lovely!

I loved, loved Princess Diana..She was the most Godly
person. She lended a hand always, and never bothered
taking her ball gown off and getting a little dirty. It
was a sad day in our world when the wonderful Princess
Diana passed.

Many might ask me why I consider "Carrie Bradshaw"
as an inspiration to me....Her REAL name is
Sarah Jessica Parker, but her role as Carrie Bradshaw
inspired so many women to dream, be "yourself,"
and never believe you need a MAN to be happy.
She loved fashion, New York city, life, and her
girlfriends. I adore Carrie Bradshaw. Sarah Jessica Parker
is still alive today and is married to Matthew Broderick.
