Day Six: A picture of something that makes you happy

This picture was taken last year around Christmas time on the night of the TSO concert. It makes me smile for so many reasons, but the most important....the night I met Samuel ;) I honestly had no intentions of going to the concert, but he needed a date so I thought.."what the heck!" I had a wonderful time with him and my parents that night and we have been inseperable since!!! I can't wait to show this picture to my children someday and tell them the story behind it. Although...I have no pictures with him, because he was so SHYYYYY, but I have this one :) Wonderful, Wonderful Memories!!!!

Trent Morris Hanks, my twin brother, is my bestfriend. We are 22 years old and have been close ever since the day we were born. We are completely different, but I think that is why we get along so well. We appreciate eachother's company.  He works for my Dad and boyfriend, and has a very sweet girlfriend that I adore! Trent lives in West Memphis, Arkansas. He bought a house this past Spring, and I could NOT believe it. He is on his own now, crazy! I am currently still in school, so I depend on my parents for A LOT! ;) Trent likes to tease me about it all the time.  I love my brother more than anything in this world. There is nothing better than having your bestfriend to share your birthday with! :)

I have the most awesome parents in the world! I honestly do not know where I would be without them. They are wonderful people inside and out. My parents have been together since my Mom was a junior in High School. They have been married for 27 years. My Mom graduated with her Bachelors degree in Education, and teaches 4th grade in Marion, Arkansas. My Dad has been working for AC company for 30 something years now. He is currently the estimator for all jobs that come through their doors. He is also President of the Memphis Builders Exchange. They are both Memphis Tiger fans & Arkansas Razorbacks. I am so proud to call them my parents.

Day 1:

1. I have a twin brother, Trent Morris Hanks, who is my very best friend in the world. He is 1 min. & 29 seconds older than me :)


2. I could literally eat sushi every day of the week. I fr-eaking love it!

3. My boyfriend's name is Sam. I love him more than I love myself. He completes me.

4. I love, love, love everything about Memphis. I plan to be a Memphian till the day I die.

5. Flight Restaurant is my all-time favorite dining in Memphis.

6. I could sleep all day, every day. I need about 9 to 10 hours of sleep a night to function the next day.

7. I am obsessed with anything and everything by Tory Burch. She is ammmazing.

8. My middle name is Jo. My Mom got it from my Aunt Josephine.

9. I absolutely hate everything about summer. I am a fall and winter girl. I like winter clothes, the holidays, everrrrrrything.

10. I am a HUGE Ole Miss fan. Go Rebels! (Black Bears, ha!)

11. My future children's names will be: Samuel Jay Haynie II, and Lucille Josephine Haynie, but calling her Lucy Jo. :)

Muir Glen Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup

Hey, Ladies!


First of all...Who loves soup?? I hope you all answered yes, because it is almost winter time, (well not in Memphis), BUT IT IS TIME FOR ALL THE YUMMY SOUP RECIPE'S!!! I know a lot of you have very hectic schedules like mine, so finding a healthy, tasty soup to take on the go can be hard, right?? Think again! I was shopping in my local Fresh Market & came across Muir Glen Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup. I absolutely love Chicken Tortilla soup from McAlister's, so I HAD to try it. Ladies, it was awesome! I needed something that I could throw in my bag and take with me! I babysit a lot during the day, and hate eating other people's food, so I have started taking this. If you are an Organic nut like I am, you'll love it. I tweeted earlier last week about it, but since I just recently started blogging again, I had to let my fellow bloggers know about it :)

I recently lost touch with all my fellow bloggers. I have been swamped with SCHOOL! I AM back though, so let's hope I can keep with it. As most of you know, S is in the process of trying to sell his condo and I CANNOT help but wonder WHEN!?? I am so ready to start decorating! My decorating taste has changed so much, but after being in many, many Memphis homes and shopping around, I have come to love the Shabby Chic with a touch of French Country...Yes, I know...Strange huh? BUT I LOVE IT! I love the whites, pastels, linens, etc. I have been reading blogs, looking at pictures, and shopping around on websites lately just trying to get ideas. Here is several amazing pictures that have caught my attention.I hope you like them, too! :)
