Paul Thorn

Last night, some friends and I traveled to Tupelo, Mississippi to hear the Paul Thorn band. I had never heard of him until a couple of months ago, when my girlfriend introduced me to his new CD. I immediately fell in love with him! He's a lot like Pat Green, but writes all of his own lyrics. He's amazing. He is from Tupelo, and used to be a professional boxer, but decided he wanted to get into the music world! We had a wonderful time at the concert, but let me say....there is nothinnnnng to do in Tupelo after 11pm...Living in Memphis has SPOILED me! Check his music out on youtube, itunes, or you can go to his website. For anyone who is interested in seeing him, PT will be traveling to Memphis to perform at the New Daisy in July! :) I'll keep you updated on the dates! Here a few pics we took last night:

Memorial Day Weekend!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I don't know about you, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting to sleep in an extra morning ;) My weekend was full of excitement & unexpected twists and turns, but overall it was fantastic! We were on the boat for the majority of the time with friends & family, EXCEPT for Monday...S & I sat in Baptist Minor Medical half the afternoon, so I could get an antibiotic for a bladder infection, yuck! It was definitely no fun & definitely not how we intended to spend our Memorial Day. Sunday evening was quite an experience I must say though...A HUGE fish jumped in our boat as we were strolling through the harbor at midnight. It came up out of the water and hit S in the chest! I was driving, so you can imagine how scared I got! Everyone started running to the back of the boat & yelling! My cousin got several great pictures! I wish I could have video taped it! Monday evening, we visited my parents & ordered pizza and watched the Bachelorette, quite interesting I might add! ;) I hate we didn't make it to the lake like everyone else in America, but we're going in a few weekends, so we enjoyed the weekend on the river! :) What did you guys do for Memorial Day?? Did you grill out or go to dinner?? Anything exciting or interesting happen during your long weekend? :) Here a few things we cooked during our weekend and pictures different people snapped:

1. Emeril's Chicken & Apple Sausages

2. Peel & Eat Shrimp

3. BBQ
